(Freedom.news) President Obama’s goal of “hope and change” revolved around a radical Alinskyite agenda of tearing down every American institution he could, including our healthcare system, traditional marriage, the military and even local police.
And while the president, certain NFL players, and allies in the leftist, radical Black Lives Matter movement and other George Soros-funded groups, have largely succeeded on a number of fronts, the war on local police has been a failure.
According to a new poll from Gallup, respect for American police officers is nearing an all-time high, as reported by CNS News:
The percentage of Americans who say they have a “great deal” of respect for the police in their area has climbed to 76 percent—just one percentage point shy of the all-time high of 77 percent recorded 49 years ago…
Respect for the police has increased over the past year among Americans of differing racial groups, ideologies, political affiliations and age…
Since 1965, Gallup has asked this question nine times: “How much respect do you have for the police in your area—a great deal, some, or hardly none?”
The first time Gallup asked it–in a survey conducted April 2-7, 1965—70 percent said they had a great deal of respect for the police, 22 percent said they had some respect, and 4 percent said they had hardly any, and 4 percent said they had no opinion.
The really good news is that respect for cops increased among varied demographics and political identities:
According to an analysis published today by Gallup, between October of last year and October of this year, the percentage of nonwhites who said they had a great deal of respect for the police increased from 43 percent to 67 percent.
The percentage of whites saying they had a great deal of respect for police increased from 69 percent to 80 percent.
The percentage of conservatives saying they had a great deal of respect for police increased from 69 percent to 85 percent.
Among moderates, it increased from 67 percent to 72 percent. Among liberals, it increased from 50 percent to 71 percent.
Among Republicans, it increased from 82 percent to 86 percent. Among Independents, it increased from 60 percent to 75 percent. Among Democrats, it increased from 54 percent to 68 percent.
Among Americans living in cities, it increased from 61 percent to 68 percent. Among Americans living in suburbs, it increased from 71 percent to 82 percent. Among Americans living in towns and rural areas, it increased from 61 percent to 80 percent.
Among Americans 18 to 34 years of age, it increased from 50 percent to 69 percent. Among Americans 35 to 54 years of age, it increased from 61 percent to 77 percent. And among Americans 55 and older, it increased from 77 percent to 81 percent.
This is not going to be good news for the leftist thugs, degenerates, haters and anarchists who are following Obama’s lead and Soros’ money to attack our police officers and destroy the sanctity of our cities and neighborhoods over the phony narrative that police are targeting blacks more than any other ethnic group because they’re black. The statistics paint a completely different story, but you’d never know that watching the establishment media or listening to the president.
Like the military, American police officers are respected by the majority of our citizens because we all understand two things very clearly: 1) These individuals are selfless and caring, for the most part, willing to lay their lives on the line to protect us; and 2) without them our society collapses into deadly chaos. Without the thin blue (and green) lines, there is no American society. Only “The Walking Dead.”
It seems the more Obama & Co. tries to tear down our institutions, the more Americans are standing up and saying no. That’s a good thing, because if the world doesn’t have a strong, united America, it doesn’t have its biggest protector and stabilizing force.
